JORGINHO’s agent has admitted a move to Italy could be on the cards with Juventus in pole position for a summer swoop.

Speculation has been rife that Maurizio Sarri, the man who brought Jorginho to Chelsea and is now Bianconeri boss, would attempt to forge a reunion at the end of the season.

Chelsea star Jorginho is reportedly lined up for a Juventus transfer

Sarri is a long standing admirer of the midfielder, who is valued at £63million, and used to play under the Italian at Napoli before following him to Stamford Bridge in 2018.

Recent reports have linked Jorginho with a move to the Allianz with Miralem Pjanic heading the other way although both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also linked with the Bosnian international.

And now the midfield maestro’s agent Joao Santos has fuelled further speculation of a summer switch.

He told Tuttomercatoweb: “I don’t know whether Juve want Jorginho or not, as he has three years left on his Chelsea contract. We’ll see…

“He is a professional, so if an important club in Italy calls, then why not?”

The 28-year-old struggled during his first campaign in West London and received stick from fans for being the Italian gaffer’s go-to-guy.

The Blues star revealed that the “unfair” criticism eventually spurred him on and he has since undergone a resurgence under new boss Frank Lampard.

Before the top flight was KO’d by coronavirus, he had clocked up 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and registering two assists.

The Italian’s agent insisted last month that his client was “very happy”  at Stamford Bridge and was set to open talks on a new deal.
But Chelsea are already expected to lose Pedro and Willian on free transfers when their contracts expire in the summer so may be tempted to cash in on Jorginho to raise the funds for their own transfer wish list

Juve’s hopes of enticing the Blues into a swap could also be scuppered by Pjanic’s desire to join Barcelona – which is thought to be his preferred destination.
